I started working on some more tile textures for the floor to break up the over use of other texture I had been using.
I made a few variations based on this tutorial.
I tested a few different styles.

I also tested out layering some rocks on top of the texture to add some more variation and breakup repetition.

Here you can see the materials and here is the result.

It was quite subtle and sort of worked but seemed a bit out of place to have rocks/stones over the tiles so I decided against it.
Here is my final texture.

Following this I modelled some pews which I could use repeatedly throughout the scene. I tried to keep them relatively low poly as I have plans to use the Chaos Fracture tool in Unreal to break some into pieces.

I knew I wanted to create more visual interest around my Apse and found this Cathedral Interior environment made for the Warhammer 40K tabletop game. I decided to work it into my environment.

I used the staircases as the fundamental reference alongside this Pulpit.

I worked on it further and decided to use the iconic Warhammer Eagle design as a lectern for the pulpit.

I also started adding in some candles which I got from the Dungeon_Modular_V1 asset pack freely released on Unreal this month. This allowed me to breath some warmth into the scene and also work as a way to guide a player through the scene to the focal point.
